Good Show Sir Comments: GSS Superfan Reggie M. (who prefers to keep a low profile) sent in these fine examples of literature printed by the New English Library back in the 70s. We here at GSS are familiar with the terrible sci-fi cover art overachievers at N.E.L. See here.
But N.E.L. is also know among paperback aficiandos for their sleazy girl covers. These here show the exciting lifestyle choices of a comely English lass who starts out as a fist-fighting brawler, graduates to shiv-lady in her local gang, then a Patty Hearst terrorist clone, before moving into a steady day job in the publishing business as a naked copy editor.
I am sure these attractive young misses are all quite proper British grannies now and remember fondly their previous modeling careers. So let’s reward them all with a Good Show Sir Honourable Mention.

Just have some muscled dudes on horses, pretty much looking exactly the same. Where we will shine, my good apprentice, is in the title and border. Our colour scheme will be brown and the links will be many. And we’ll have a horse or two leaping over the border giving the viewer a 3D experience! Uhhh well, some sort of experience.
You know what’s on the way back in terms of being considered manly? Pink! That’s right. So we’ll have a lot of it. And on top of that epic dose of man we’ll add more layers of manliness. A crewcut, a crossbow and most importantly a stomach wound. That’s one large slice of man-cake for your eyes.
Good Show Sir comments: Barbarella’s got the boys in a spin!
Thanks to Ryan for sending this in!

Hey.
This is just a quick message for those who follow along here at Good Show Sir or for those that are passing by. I apologise for the lack of updates recently and I put it down to not actually having any more book covers in my personal archive. Within the next few weeks I am hoping to get more Good Shows and do a little bit of web site changes to make everything look that little bit more special.
I do know there are people who regularly head to this website even though it has only been up for two months and I have done next to no advertising. It’s much appreciated!! And remember, if you have any terrible book covers then please send them in. Together we can create something truely awesome!
Yours,
– Good Show Sir
I’m really not sure about what I want… So how about some weird horse-camel type creatures, something that would make The Great Lucas proud! Don’t forget to add a terrible landscape, an awful off planet sunset, and some people pointing a huge antenna to the sky.
Max Bathroom Comments: Serious dress code violation: this is not how a heroine dresses to climb a snow covered mountain in a fantasy novel, is it?
