Tat Wood Comments: Remember this? Well here’s how France saw it. Neither is entirely representative, this being a novel about an Australian sheep-shearer (in Space!) who buys Earth at a department store. Sort of. The sad thing is, Cordwainer Smith wrote extensively about cat-people but the artists never got the hint.

Look the calendar. It’s 2021. I tried flipping the page to 2022 but that didn’t work. So instead of looking forward let’s look backward and reflect on our past glory.
On to the honours. Based on ratings, the recent “Swedish Megapost” is on top. But it is our judgement that it will need to stand the test of time longer than two weeks to claim top honours. Also some little prick in Paraguay has been screwing around with our stellar vote rating system. Somehow our election fraud complaints has drawn terrifying responses online. Therefore, the highest rated cover of 2020 is:

Nebula Award Stories 1
Our silver medal winner:

And the bronze medal winning:

My personal favourite cover of 2020:

Tag Wizard’s chosen favourite for the year:

And we were finally able to reach Tweet Jane, who has been away on a lengthy … let’s call it a sabbatical. My favourite cover is The Beasts of Tarzan. For no other reason than I feel just like the lion looks.

Phils Art Direction: It contains Ellison’s famous story, “A Boy and his Dog.” So let’s have a boy with his dog, but don’t make the boy too boyish and keep the dog cat-like.

Art Direction: We’ll have the male sitting on an Ikea chair like he’s James Bond with laser guns and space ships. We’ll put him in some sort of spandex suit with knee pads and fob that off as armour. With the girl lets go for nudity but we’ll photoshop in some clothes later. What we really want is, plenty of side boob! Therefore appealing to both genders… right?

Jon H Comments: This one caught me off guard, I thought it was just your typical WW 2 book, maybe a little on the Sgt Rock side of reality but then I noticed the monkey and realized it said WW3. Well…I still don’t understand what the monkey is doing. I’m guess it is a part of some para-military group. “If you need help, and you can find them, maybe you can hire…ooh ooh ah ah AH AAAH!!”

I’m telling you, Romance + Generic Fantasy Elements = MONEY! Ahh, who cares about the cover, just put a big hunky man showing off his chest muscles and flexed abs. We’ll call him the dragon master… What do you mean “is his dragon purple”?
And we are back! Ohhhh YEAh!
