Tom’s Art Direction: Listen you lot, it’s supposed to be a DRAGON. This just looks like some sort of blue lizard. It needs more pointy bits! Don’t come back until you’ve absolutely peppered that thing with spikes. Oh, and draw the world’s most awkward swordsman beside it, you know, for human interest.

Tom Luczycki’s Art Direction: I need a guy astride a giant walking fish-thing accompanied by a metallic angel with nippless bazooms. Could you have the guy holding an impossibly small and ineffective bow? Forget about the arrows. The bow is more a symbol for the subtext of the underlying metaphor. And moths. The moths should round things out nicely.

Good Show Sir’s Art Direction: Well it’s the 1980’s, so whats popular at the moment? Oh I know, why not put Rutger Hauer jumping on the back of an over-sized gremlin!! I mean that’s in the book… right? What!?! You didn’t read it either! It’s his 23rd book in the saga, I just assumed he’d be pretty good at it by now!

Art Direction: You know what I feel enhances any work of art… glow! Imagine the scene, two young lovers entwined in… tentacles… and around them a mystical blue glow to signify magic or possibly the sharing of deep feelings. Nah I’m just kidding, we all know what he’s going to use those things for. But the glow will enchance something I’m sure!
