Happy New Year!

So, just wanted to do a little sum up of a few of the best covers we have posted and some personal favourites of the Good Show Sir staff. Just kidding, we don’t have staff, more like some sort of trained animal that has been taught how to sit correctly and not bite the children.

First, just a couple of thanks. To Justin Leego who faithfully does all the tags for the covers, finds out who the artist is and corrects any spelling/grammer errors I make about six hours after I post it. And to CSA, who endured an entire afternoon with me searching through the shelves of three second hand book shops over Christmas. We have quite the collection of covers to add to the site!

And thanks again to those who visit us here. We love to hear from anyone who comes along, so feel free to comment and you will be welcomed with sarcastic undertones!

And it thus cameto passthat the Mighty Lord Weber created the one thing which could instantly bring tears to the eyes of mortal men. Together around the campfire elves sat covered in blankets, drinking mead, talking to their wenches andwieldeda singlelute. But most importantly and what would soon become legend,they hadridiculous ears.

The shine! We are all about the shine. But we’re lacking somewhere, there is just something we need to push the readers right over the edge and into the pit of greatness. Got it! Half-naked faeries and royal elves. Making one of them look like an Elizabethan queen will drive all the boys crayze-Z!

Here you go boss, we’ve spent all weekend on this. It’s called “sea”, right? Well, what do we love under the sea? Mermaids of course! With long hair and large… fins. And what else could we grab people’s attention with? An underwater dragon!!! Booo yeah!!! Just tell me how that doesn’t make perfect sense!?! No boss, you don’t actually have to answer that…

WELLL! How about Lois sitting on a rocking chair right next to a lovely log fire with a couple of cats curled up nicely beside her. To amplify the warmness we’ll have three people in space-age uniforms standing right best her, one of them holding a laser rifle. And for the finishing touch, put a mustache and bandana in there too.

I need sci-fi mixed in with something suggestive! Yeah baby!! I am talking about tight space suits that make you wonder how they ever got into them. Huge racks and huge packs, if you know what I mean! Guns shaped suggestively like a… you know… *giggles* Whatever you do don’t mess it up with something like giving the women a perm. Are you listening to me?

Huge naked man flying through a vast landscape while an English businessman on a flying circle points out his mistakes with a cane. Have his manhood really impressive and big, you know like the type that make women faint… oh yeah, guess we can’t. Well, draw it anyway and cover it up with a star about that award he got. OK, I’m spinning my cover creator wheel and its landed on, volcano… good. Spin again… horse-riding knight. OK, I’m throwing the action dice and it’s landed on… being eaten, nice. Another spin… T-REX, sounds awesome! In the background we will have a… prison wall and… a guard post.
