Sara S Comments: This cover has everything. The cat-being is looking out at the reader as if to say, ‘How do you humans like it when we dangle something in front of YOU and then snatch it away, huh?’ The cherry on top of it all is the title artist who thought, ‘Wouldn’t it be great if the preposition ‘at’ didn’t line up with any of the other words on the cover?!

Joachim Comments: The future fashion item of choice — yellow plastic latex gloves… A better title would be “The Janitorial Triplets: an odyssey from childhood to adulthood”.

Bibliomancer’s Art Direction: Its called More Than Human so paint a kid, replace the legs with a reel-to-reel tape deck, and pad the shoulders with a couple of kids heads. Its so obvious!

Good Show Sir’s Art Direction: Space Ship X.S.22… that’s what this old boy is called? Well I don’t think we should have a space ship or in fact anything resembling anything sci-fi on there. That’s what they’d be expecting us to do. Just put a couple of boys carrying a machine gun while another gets chased by a bull!

So enjoy the covers and have an excellent long weekend (if you get one!) And once again thanks to all who send in covers and comment on the site. You gals and guys are all amazing, also you keep my grammar correct and my tags sensible!

Tat Wood Comments: it was published in 1970 and tells of all the different ways the Earth will end by 2000 AD (although one would be enough). As we are now a dozen years beyond the Best Before date does it now count as fiction? A bit? Sort of?

Laura Comments: I came across this book in a used book store and I was hoping that the badly-drawn tough old guys would fit on Good Show Sir.

Jaouad’s Art Direction: Let’s see… Pynchonesque, Burroughsian, Robert Anton Wilson-like… Oh, I know! Tim from Marketing has a girlfriend who does exotic dancing, right? See if you can get her to pose. Ask her to bring one of her pets. Yes, I know the author will want in on this… I’ll think of something.

Phil’s Art Direction: Who’s a cute little Harlie? Now, keep still for the cover artist, there’s a good little cyborg. When you grow up, you’ll be a famous writer and have your face on your own book!

Scott B Comments: Judging by the back cover blurb this one surprisingly is a faithful cover. Except it didn’t mention geodesic-head guy there. But the rest of it, including blue-glow-from-nose man, seems to be taken straight from the book. Still… wow.

Winged Wolf Comments: An excellent series, and one of my favourites. This scene actually appears in the book, and is depicted fairly accurately. Except for the tentacles. They never get the tentacles right.
